Covid-19: School District In Fairfield County Goes Remote After Student Tests Positive

A school district in Fairfield County has shifted to remote learning for Monday, Sept. 21 after a student tested positive for COVID-19.

The Weston Public School District said it learned of the positive case at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.

"We need at least Monday to do additional contact tracing to determine the potential spread of COVID-19 in the district," a statement posted on the district website said. 

The district said it's working with the Westport/Weston Health District as well as its medical advisor.

The district said it expects to issue a new update later in the day Monday.
